Lollapalooza Love

There is no doubt that us Chicagoans are done with this winter. We’ve officially passed the start of spring with no sign of warm weather in sight…unless you were one of the lucky ones who snatched a Lollapalooza ticket today! Tickets for the biggest music festival of the season went on sale this morning, sparking a major online frenzy and a major outfit buzz. Here at Frankie’s, we’ll definitely be getting tons of Lolla looks in the coming months, but something about this morning’s sale got us thinking about what we’d currently wear for the best three days of the summer.

shorts

How great are these Mink Pink shorts?

For Day 1? Patterned shorts. Though you can never go wrong with plain denim cutoffs, something about a silky pair of shorts with a bold print seems original and memorable. Printed shorts also let you go easy on top, so finding a basic shirt in your closet shouldn’t be too tough. We love this pair by Mink Pink.

Day 2? A breezy dress! Especially with Chicago’s winters, there are only a few months of the year that us girls can whip out our sundresses and feel totally happy. Pick something lightweight and comfortable for an effortless feel that will guarantee a fabulous day of music and sunshine. Our favorite is this crochet frock by Surf Gypsy.

Surf Gypsy totally got it with this dress.

Day 3? Stay tuned! We still have a bit of waiting to do until Lollapalooza finally rolls around, so check back for more posts as we get closer to the days of the festival. There will certainly be more to see! And as usual, don’t forget to let us know what outfits you’re thinking about.
