Costume Idea: Camouflage Chic

camo sweatshirt

This girls’ sweatshirt is perfect for Chicago trick-or-treating, which tends to get pretty chilly.

It’s already Monday meaning Halloween is right around the corner…three days away to be exact! Whether you’re celebrating day of or waiting until the weekend, there’s never a bad time to celebrate the holiday. Halloween means long hours of trading candy, trick-or-treating with friends, carving pumpkins, and of course, dressing up. If you’re like me (a total procrastinator) and haven’t picked out a costume, it’s absolutely not too late. If anything, waiting until the last minute to work out an outfit means an opportunity to be extra creative, and that’s where we come in to help.

camo jacket

This women’s jacket would be the perfect piece to draw attention to the Army-inspired look.

In easing the struggle with searching for a last minute costume, we’ve come up with a fail-proof idea that’s sure to turn heads. With camouflage being so on trend this season, why not give an Army Girl look a try? Pile on your favorite camo-printed duds, top it off with a cute cap and some black face paint, slip on clunky black combat boots and you’re good to go. This costume is at once cute, comfortable, and so easy that you may already have all the necessary items in your closet.

camo tank

How cute is this girl’s tank for Halloween?

Planning on dressing up with friends? Even better! The Army look is great because camouflage has been spotted on so many different pieces this season. If you’re dressing up with friends and don’t want to look exactly identical, you each can sport your own version of the look without being too matchy-matchy. Have everyone wear all black, then you can each rock individual accent pieces. A jacket here, a tank there, even leggings or pants if you’re willing to be bold…the options are endless!

If you decide to rock the Camouflage look this Halloween I would love to see, so send pictures our way! If not, what else is everyone planning on wearing this holiday? Let me know! And last but not least, have a safe and happy Halloween.
